The KMSA
was founded in 1976, just three years after the National
Middle School Association. It encompasses teachers,
administrators, college students, state department
personnel, teacher educators, and parents - all possessing
an interest in the education of young adolescents - from
nearly every country in the state. It is governed by a Board
of Directors composed of elected Officers, Regional
Representatives and a State Department Consultant.
